Try as we may every year we find ourselves in the same situation. We think we've everything sorted or maybe we didn't even start, yes I'm talking Christmas gift buying. I always promise myself that the next year will be different yet here I find myself again, searching out last minute gifts for loved ones. Are you in the same boat? Fear not dear gift seeker, I've rounded up some fantastic brands and companies that are either still open to orders for delivery or local businesses that you can pick up a few last minute pressies from.
Gordons Direct are still open through next week and have huge offers across a wide range of fragrance and gift sets. I know I'm headed in this week to pick up some bits and pieces for my Father In Law! If you're stuck for a fragrance for her this Christmas do ask the sales assistants for some help in choosing, they're very patient and are happy to advise if necessary. My top pick would be the Paco Rabanne Olympea, stunning fragrance and gorgeous packaging. A real crowd pleaser. With lots of stores open late this coming week and a next day posting option it's worth keeping them in mind.
If you have a scented candle obsessive in your house, I know we have one in mine (looks innocent), these alternative and fun candles from Filthy Velvet are sure to draw smiles on Christmas morning and again later when burned. With names ranging from Busty Blonde to Big Pants and just about everything in between these are a fab stocking filler and you can find them dotted in stores around NI. For a full list of stockists see here.
We'd all love to give the gift of hope this Christmas, that's what the season is all about, lifting one another and taking the time to cherish those around us. Itty Bitty Book Co are such a beautiful concept and have many gorgeous items you can choose from to gift someone who maybe needs a little light in their life. You can opt for their little books of Positivity, Motivation or (my favourite) The Book of Strength which all come really nicely tied with little beads or perhaps a motivational canvas for someone's office wall? You can find Itty Bitty Book Co online here or if you're in and around Belfast tomorrow, panicking, you can find them at St George's Market.
Another St George's Market favourite, By Sam Mercer, will be at her stall this coming Monday and Tuesday selling her gorgeous fun pin up wares, pick up stocking fillers ranging from rockabilly head scarves to cute little shoe clips. See this post to find out more about Sam and what she does.
Hat trick for St George's Market? Per chance you haven't picked up Christmas cards yet Arbee are still offering delivery if you order here and you can find them at St George's Market on Monday and Tuesday also! I like to pick up cards that are a little more special for my close family so I think these are a lovely idea.
Sometimes, when really stuck, there is one place I like to go and that's New Look. Does what it says on the tin. Has a great range of fun gifts, accessories and now homeware so you can pick up fun lights, unicorn money jars and slogan travel cups. Lots of ideas and nothing that will break the bank budget wise. They also have a fantastic range of scarves and purses in case you're stuck for Mum.
Facebook Page and send them a little message if you're really stuck. Danielle knows her gifting so if you're stuck I'm sure she would be delighted to help you out.
Bella Mia are now online! This fantastic boutique that began in Ballymoney (and quickly branched out to a Coleraine store also) stocks many must-have brands in the accessories department. From Daniel Wellington watches to Carat London and lots of sparkle in between.
After all of that, whatever you do, don't forget the prosecco! Valley Wines Direct are an NI based company who offer free next day delivery for all your wine needs. A firm favourite this time of year is bound to be their case of mini (award winning) prosecco, we will be having some Christmas Day though I might be tempted to uncork the bottle in the fridge tonight after writing up this gift guide... I feel I've finished up my shopping when in actual fact I've written a post about shopping rather than doing my actual Christmas shopping. Oops?
