Hippenings | Parties, Events & Gift Ideas

The buzz around newly launched Hippenings began weeks ago when it was revealed that this brand new Irish based online store would be the Ireland stockists of the brand-of-the-moment, Rightly so, before now we either had to buy quickly to avoid that pesky out of stock notice on our favourite pieces or pay out obscene postage costs to import from America. Well, no more!

Friday brought around the launch day everyone had been waiting for.

Hippenings is the brain child of Editor extraordinaire, Laura Cunningham, who is no stranger to setting up aesthetically pleasing imaging given that she works on one of Ireland's biggest wedding magazines, Confetti. Laura describes Hippenings as her baby and it's easy to see the love and work she has poured into this project, not only is the website incredibly user friendly, it's also the prettiest site I've had the pleasure of perusing lately. Everything is so colourful, set to clean and crisp backgrounds and the pieces Laura has chosen to stock? Beyond delightful.

Because I was already browsing for my own first purchase, I thought I'd put together a little highlight reel, if you like, to show you some of my own favourite pieces from the Hippenings site.

Not only do they stock the aforementioned brand everyone has lost their minds over,, Hippenings are also stocking some amazing Kate Spade pieces such as the stunning Gold 2016 Agenda, a beautiful Kate Spade Mini Rose Gold Notebook (that has my name ALL over it!) and a Rose Gold Stapler that everyone needs on their desk (it'd make work feel so much more fun!).

Add to that a sprinkling of everyone's favourite headwear brand, Crown & Glory, finally an Ireland stockist! You can grab a pair of bejewelled Liberace Cat Ears or my favourite, the Liberace Bunny Ears or you can keep things simple with a pack of 8 Glitter Gold Crowns, priced at just €8.90. For that party, I mean.... the party you'll find yourself planning for no other reason than the fact you simply want to shop at Hippenings...

Prices are pretty reflective of the brands on the site, with no ridiculous price bumps. I can see Hippenings being visited frequently in the run up to Christmas and I can't wait to see what else Laura has in store for us all.

I've already treated myself to the Thermal Mug as I'd been wanting it for ages but had wanted to hold off until the launch. My lust list is ever increasing with the Sweet Talk Pen Set and the Porcelain Catch All Tray having been added to that list over the weekend.

Shipping is pretty fair, with postage costs to Ireland coming in at €4.95 and (hooray!) shipping to Northern Ireland (yes, they're shipping to N.I.!) costing €5.95.

I'd urge you to head over to just for a look of course.... though I wouldn't be at all surprised if you came away with some Retro Popcorn Boxes or even a Lightening Bolt Pinata, you know... stuff you need... for that party... that you'll soon be planning... or you could send a gift, to someone else I mean, not to yourself! Well, maybe to yourself. You've been good this week, right?

Congratulations to Laura on a fantastic store that I've no doubt will be well visited before long!

Seen anything you like? Let me know!
